Do you think that the market for
the happier pop-rock is fading due
to the new edgier, darker sound?
Kory-
I think the metal scene is
definitely blowing up but at the same
time it’s getting softer as well.
You’ve got your big underground
bands that are just going to keep it
very trashy and thrashy, which I
love. But I don’t think the pop sound
is gonna die out because it’s
something that a lot of regular
individuals can get along with. There’
s people here tonight that are happy
we played our style, because we
didn’t have all the full on screams.
Everybody loves something different
and I don’t think the pop end is
really dying down  because certain
people enjoy certain things.

What are the strengths and
weaknesses of this band?
Kory-
Strengths? Definitely 110% is
our drummer, Josh. He’s extremely
creative, a very creative mind.
Andrew’s voice, and his writing
style, he has a very good writing
style. He’s always ‘well we should
do this and this kind of thing’ and I
don’t ever know what he’s talking
about, and he’s like ‘just play like
this’ and I’m like ‘okay.’ [laughter]
And Zack is our new little brother,
he’s definitely got a lot of energy
that just bursts out at our shows.

Zack- Man I just like jumping
around a lot. That’s enough, but, I
don’t know, my strength is just in
my show, I guess.

Andrew- As far as weaknesses,  the
oldest member in our band is josh
and he’s 22. So we have a lot of
room to grow. Not only as
individuals but as musicians.  I think
that’s a big thing, we’re still kids.
You know what I mean? We have a
long way to go.
What are the main influences
of this band sound wise?
Kory-
I listen to punk and metal,
so I really don’t have anything
that I bring to the table. I have
like a couple of riffs, then we’ll
write  off of it or whatever. But
as far as influences for me, it’s
nothing like what we play.

Zack- Yea, that’s a tough one to
answer. my favorite band, hands
down is probably Taking Back
Sunday. Especially the new stuff,
nothing against the old stuff, but
now they have this kick ass
bassist. Rise against, I can’t really
sum it up because there are so
many bands. There’s a lot of
really good bands out there is you
look for them.

Josh- My biggest influence in this
band are these guys right here.
110%

Andrew- As a band, we don’t
have a set  influence, we all bring
things to the table. Like, my
favorite band, is queen. And
where can you find that in our
music? We all of have different
things that we bring. We’re all
individuals. We’re not set on a
narrow path of ‘this is what we’
re gonna do’ no, it’s an
experiment. We’re here to create
music that we enjoy playing. We
love playing for anybody.

If you could dominate one
meduim, and once medium
only what would it be? TV,
radio, or print?
Zack-
That’s a hard question. Me
personally? Radio. Because
growing up on music I never
watched it on a T.V.  I always
had a tape or a CD and then later
on I would see the music video
on the T.V. and be like ‘hey hey! I know that
song.”

Kory-Video killed the radio star!Yea that’s true.I
would say the radio because you never know who
doesn’t have a T.V.,  but if they have a radio and
they don’t have a T.V. they can still know here
we are.

Andrew- Yea say people don’t have a T.V., they’
re out of  CDs they’re like ‘well, lets see what’s
on the radio’ and if its on there.

If you could tour with any band, dead or alive,
past or present. Who would the sterling want
to play with?
Andrew-
I just wanna be able to say ‘okay we’re
the sterling and Queen is next, we don’t even
measure up.’

Kory- I love a lot of metal, I would want a diverse
show though, like Atreyu, and I don’t know..
Green Day. Something where everyone would like
something.

Zack-  For me, [Taking Back Sunday] would be
awesome, rise against, story of the year, the used,
