The Genitorturers, KMFDM, The
        Last Dance, Nocturne, Projekt
44, and Prong, or deny the following
that they have received since their 2004
Florida debut. So, what makes them so
different than the rest of the bands in the
Tampa Bay area, or the world for that
matter? "Because we have fuckin' Talon
Black, don't you know who he is?"
Chuckles Raven. "I think it's because we're
more psychotic than the rest of them,"
says Mykill. "We're the world's most
dangerous band, or so I'm told." adds
Shade, Raven agreeing. "We're not afraid to
take any measures to make our point be
seen. Whatever it takes. When we take the
stage, it's literally warfare out there. We
hurt each other, it isn't an act. We slam
into each other, I slam into the drums,"
Raven then nods to Shade. "He's cutting
himself every show, losing a pint of blood."
Shade then grins. "We've done shows were
there has been four or five bands sharing a
stage with us, and people know when
Sister Kill Cycle hits the stage, and people
know when we've left."

"The coolest band by far was Bile." Claims
Raven. "Cradle of Filth," says Talon. "I
was really honored to share the stage with
LA Guns...Until they stole my guitar strap."
Shade mumbles, the others laughing with
remembrance. "Sevendust, out of all the
bands.. for me personally, my favorite
guys to have hung out with, is Sevendust.
Lejon and his wife were really cool,
hanging back stage, having chicken in the
artist tent- I think the way that he
interacted around the band, he totally
treated us like equals. You're an artist, I'm
an artist, we're both here doing our thing.
It was complete respect on both sides.
There was no ego there, even
though Sevendust at that time had
two hit songs on the radio at time,
they were huge. And uh, Patrick, from
Filter, he's an asshole, and you can print
that." With such musical ties and a deep
seeded influence, one might think that egos
would be ever present, but one would be
wrong. Lounging around me are five of the
most normal- prettily made up- guys, laid
back and laughing, smiling and vibing, but
that doesn't mean that the hunger to be
seen is any less than the next band. "When
people come out, we want them to see that
there is someone that’s up here that does
live normal lives, but hey, we want your
fucking attention. Ya know? We're not
going to just going to stand up there in blue
jeans, anyone can do that in any corner bar
and tell some really wonderful, wonderful
tales. But we're more than that. And the
make up, it's a little bit of rebellion,
something mom or dad wouldn't like. It's
more for the show... I grew up in the era
with Cooper and Kiss, and all these bands
were out. You had all these other bands
that were out there great, just as great,
doing their thing, but they weren't doing it.
I think that’s why the eighties we're so big,
and why so many bands spun out of the
eighties, they borrowed from the Ozzy, the
Kiss, and the Cooper. It's a show; it's more
of a performance. With us, it's more like
Cirque du Soleil meets Rock-n-Roll." States
Raven.

"Everything we do gets recycled back into
the band." Genocide tells me with a smile
and a nod, soot black hair shifting across
his boyish face. "It's gotta be that way...
it's the passion." To where as many believe
that Rock-n-Roll is dying, one glance at

Genocide, and Shade.
