without hesitation. "No, it’s awesome.
We’ll just look at each other, while we’
re writing a song or something, and
we’ll just know what the other one is
thinking."  They also keep that whole
family atmosphere with Andy Faza Sr.
managing the boys. "Yeah, I think that
helps us stay grounded. I mean I’ve
been playing soccer with these guys
(Andy and Zack) since I was like,
nine. It’s like family." Austin says.

DC North has been together with the
current line up of Andy Faza (Vocals),
Brad Jones (Guitar/Vocals) Brent
Holzhauer (Guitar/Vocals) Zack Faza
(Bass/Vocals) and Austin Long
(Drums) for a little over a year. Barley
out of highschool, these wee, young
lads have been playing local shows all
the way down to Daytona, where they
often encounter road-raged drivers and
other eccentrics that they didn’t really
elaborate on. DC North basically plays
wherever they’re wanted to. On the
road, DC North does everything from
saving baby alligators to seeing ghosts.
Yes I said ghost.  'It was like 1:30 in
the morning, and there was this
cemetery right next to it (the road) and
there’s this girl walking down the road
on the opposite side, and I was like
"Guys that’s really weird a girl shouldn't
be walking down this road at 1 o’clock
in the morning it’s dangerous" and there’
s a car passing by and their headlights
and I saw her and Robert (DC North’s
old Merchandise guy) who was sitting
in the Passenger seat is like "Dude, what
are you talking about there’s no one
there,' and I look in my side view

mirror, and I look back in the tail lights
and there’s nothing there, and I was just
like WHAT?! That’s crazy."

In between all that jazz, DC North till
manages to get teenage girls and their
mothers alike all up in arms. On our
way to grab a bite to eat in Ybor City at
a local pizzeria we were stopped over
half a dozen times by girls and women
alike, who happen to recognize the
strapping young lads. "That’s my
signature on that girl’s shirt." Zack says
as we sit outside of a Starbucks waiting
for his brother Andy to get his coffee
fix.  "Yea no one has handwriting like
that." Austin adds. As Zack flips open
his cell phone to pretend he’s on a call
to avoid one of the scientologists that
flood Ybor City attempting to get
anyone to take their "stress test".

Ask DC North how they came up with
their name, and they can’t tell you,
they're sworn to secrecy, they’d have
to kill me if they did tell me. I’d put
money on it that it has something to do
with their prior obsession with the
band North Star. DC North is still
currently unsigned. "Well, where do
you see DC North in five years?" I ask.
"Hopefully everywhere!"Andy says
eagerly followed by a laugh from
everyone. "But hopefully we get that
deal within the next year or two and
see where that takes us." Andy
continues. "We’ve had a few
independent ones offer us some stuff,
and we’re doing more than their
offering us all around. So we’re really
looking to get a little
bigger and try to get that big deal from
a major label." Andy explains.  It’s all
about priorities for DC North. "It’s
important that we have a label that can
give us enough attention," Andy
