Belmont PL, formed in 2005, blends a wide variety of genres, including grunge, ska, punk and... funk? Yes, I said funk! These Tarpon Springs residents (Angelo (Guitar/Vocals), Jim (Drums), Aaron (Bass) and Surge (Vocals) can be seen playing anywhere from Tampa’s Brass Mug to Ybor City’s Orpheum. With help from WBUL 1620 AM, The University of South Florida’s campus radio station, Belmont PL has built up a solid local fan base. The members of Belmont PL can be described as horrible excuses for marshmellows, great tasting and never filling, but try to describe Belmont PL’s music and you can use only two words: Their Own.
