No, They Didn’t Die

If you were lucky enough to catch
the Family Values tour last year
and happen to be either one of
the intelligent ones or the one
with no life, (whichever one works
for you) you probably caught the
OC band
Bullets & Octane.
However, many of you might be
asking what the fuck happened to
them!? Did that lougie-hulking
Gene Louis OD or something?
No! The word around the
campfire is that Bullets have been
hitting the studio hard, probably
not as hard as they hit Jack
Daniels and groupies, but pretty
hard. With sixty-two songs
written, and with the list narrowed
down to seventeen, they’re finally
laying down tracks. All though a
title or a producer has yet to be
released, it will be hard to top
Page Hamilton (of Helmet) who
produced In the Mouth of the
Young. You can catch Bullets at
two LA shows on April 19 at The
Galaxy Theatre and The Key Club
on May 11.

             Not So Sonny Days

It’s not so Sonny days for Florida band by the way of Orlando From First to Last. 2007 is the
year of change, as of February Sonny Moore has left the rest of the FFTL crew to pursue a solo
career, (Good will now front the band) leaving the future of the band uncertain. The departure of
Moore is only the latest chapter in on going battle unbalanced tale of From First to Last. Back in
November the band was booted off the Atreyu tour, after Moore was unable to perform. “We
were going to continue without Sonny.” Matt Good said on the issue, but refused to elaborate.
Then there was the cancellation of the Last Prophets tour followed by their pull out of on the
Give it a Name festival. Not to mention last summer when FFTL dropped off the Warped Tour.
When the news finally reached Good, Ritcher, Bloom, and newest member Matt Manning, they
were writing their Capitol Records debut. The record that may not happen now considering that
FFTL have been dropped by the label during the merge with Virgin Records.  “It was the most
epic, movie worthy event of my life,” Good says “We just said fuck it, let’s do it ourselves, the
whole thing—just us four.” FFTL are set to record in Valdosta, GA with Lee Dyess, who
recorded “Dear Diary” and “Aesthetic.” The record is set to be released on Suretone records
through Interscope records. -Justin Lee Amidon
