ActionReaction
3 is the Magic Number
4.5/5
Favorite Track: At the Moon

The first time I even heard of
Jersey's ActionReaction was in a
hole in a wall club in St. Pete
Florida, but when I did...I was
floored. I'll even go as far as to
say they out shown the
headlining act Kill Hannah. When
I received the album from front
man Jason Gleason, I was eager
to see if the recorded sound
matched that of the live, and to
my surprise the album excelled.
"3" is all that a concert attendee
would want in the music their
seeking. The hot pop of the
keyboards compliment Gleason's
vocal range, while the rhythm
section throws down a beat that
causes even the biggest badass
to bounce. ActionReaction is a
band to keep an eye out for. I
wouldn't be surprised if they
soon ranked up there with fellow
Jersey natives My Chemical
Romance and Thursday.
A Static Lullaby
A Static Lullaby
5/5
Favorite Track: Eager Cannibals

Without thinking, straight on
autopilot, I find myself reaching
for the self titled A Static Lullaby
album. With a perfect blend of
screaming and melodic singing
this album is an album for any
occasion or mood. With an
album that reads like a graphic
novel, fitting for the cover art
done in same fashion, the stories
come to live and the listener has
no choice but to live through the
lies and betrayal...the car
crashes and endless death that
consumes everything. A Static
Lullaby has created an epic
record that has the fans roaring
for more, me included, without
crossing the line into the land of
cheesy theme albums. With so
many story-based records hitting
the stands it's hard to find one
that pops out and refuses to
relinquish your attention but ASL
did so with Sin City like flourish.
Bayside
The Walking Wounded
4.5/5
Favorite Track: They're Not
Horses, They're Unicorns

Bayside is everything Panic! At the
Disco aspires to be. With a very
chick pop-rock-disco sound it's no
wonder that the "Mtv" generation
has taken to the Long Island boys
and embraced them with open
arms. But you don't have to be a
faux-rebellious teenager to get into
the groove of Bayside's "The
Walking Wounded," the hooks are
addicting and the vocals
impeccable. Panic! Who?
