Not even a year beyond inception, Voices is already taking a foothold
in their local band scene. A five piece rock outfit hailing from Sarasota,
FL, this band is dead set on making something out of themselves.

With knowledge attained from experience in previous bands, and maybe
even a touch of Schizophrenia, they most certainly seem capable. With
a fanbase that is growing larger by the day and a new EP released on
June 21st, Voices is definitely the band that you want to remember.

NS: Your band name seems pretty simple. Is there any meaning behind
it?

Jeff: Absolutely none whatsoever.

Chris: We're all schizophrenic.

Jeff: We all have voices that need to be heard.

Chris: But that is the concept. We've all been in situations where we
felt like we were insane. Where we all felt like we were not being heard
at all. When we started it was the idea to inspire other people to do
what we're doing. Follow their dreams, their voices.

Jeff: It's a very positive thing, too. Hear people and what they have to
say in a positive way. Voices be heard. It's very cheesy.

Chris: The whole idea is that it's not about us. It's about everyone.

Jeff: Except for Mike.
NS: You're a newer band, but you're not entirely new to being in bands.
Can you explain how your past experiences in music have helped you shape
this band?

Jeff: Before this I was in a band called Soundway to Sleep. We went on a
few tours, we played Warped Tour selling our CDs and merch under a label
tent. I got some good contacts, and a lot of experience that really helps out
with the right choices.

Ethan: I played in bands where I helped write all of the songs, but no one
would pay attention to any ideas for promotions for shows or anything. I
haven't had a lot of good band experiences. This is definitely one of the
better ones.

Mike: I was in a band before this before this for three years, and I'm not
going to say their name because I don't want to credit them. Everyone was
on a different page. When you would say an opinion about what you
wanted to do and what direction you wanted to go in, no one ever agreed
and no one ever embraced any new ideas and it eventually fell apart. This
being called Voices, everyone's included and everyone's taken into
consideration. Anyone who wants to speak up about something and who
has ideas, everyone comes together and talks it out and it's not tossed
away. It's very positive.

Dustin: Me and Chris were in a band prior to this. We learned a lot about
band experience and what's good things to do and bad things to do. What's
good and bad for advertisement, promotion, and other good stuff.

Chris: I got kicked out of my old band, but that's okay. I learned something
from that experience. I learned to be more of a people person, and that it's
not all about what the band is doing but that you have to be friends with the
band members. You have to make sure that you aren't just progressing in
the business sense. That's super important, I learned that, but I got so
