A brand new pop-punk act spawned from Chicago Illinois, The Frantic are here to give their audience a new spin on the genre. Kyle Dee (vocals and guitar), Ian Farnesi (guitar), Chris Farnesi (bass and vocals), and Brett Hartwell (drums and vocals) are all well under the age of 21, setting them in a place for those pop-punk princesses who still collect pictures of their favorite bands, however, the they don't seem to see that as a drawback.
The Frantic have already received acclaim in print and are named as one of the 'Top 100 Bands You Need To Know In 2008' by Alternative Press. The Frantic are also receiving great feedback from the radio as well and can be heard on satellite and FM radio alike. Chicago's Q101 even handed the band 'Best New Artist' in 2007 over such better known bands as Plain White T's, Chevelle, Rise Against, Atreyu, and Against Me!. The band's video for "Audio & Murder" can be seen on multiple MTV channels as well as FUSE.
Their album, also titled "Audio & Murder" was released in November of 2007 under Sinister Muse Records and was produced by multi-platinum producer Mudrock (best known for his work with such bands as Godsmack and Avenged Sevenfold). The Frantic, while they are all proud of their album, are more than certain that their live show is probably the best way to get a feel for the band as a whole. According to Kyle Dee, The Frantic's show is "high energy" and very interactive with the fans.
You can get a taste of that interaction yourselves. The Frantic is touring, with plans to spread their sound across the nation this summer. Check out their tour dates on their Myspace at http://www.myspace.com/thefrantic.
