If you live in
                    Florida you have probably have
shared a beer with these five rebel
rousers, it’s no secret that the guys
    from Evergreen Terrace, Vocalist Andrew
    Carey, Guitarist Craig Chaney, Guitarist
Josh James, Bassist Jason Southwell, and
Drummer Kyle Mims, like to have a good
time. Just ask them what Wolfbiker means, the
title of their latest album. “Well a wolf is
pretty basass, and what’s more badass than a
biker?” James asks us, which is a valid
question, what is more badass than a Biker?
Well a Wolfbiker for one. “It’s just someone
that goes against the grain, someone that
thinks for themselves.” Andrew Carrey adds.
“It’s just about creating your own density.”
James fires back.
Evergreen Terrace is all about creating
their own destiny with that destiny being nearly 10 years in the making!
The conception of Evergreen, dates as far back as 1999. Some bands can’t
even last 3 years let alone 10. How do you survive that long? “Have fun,
we have never taken ourselves too seriously, we take our music seriously
but not ourselves.” James explains. “We know that change is inevitable.
There are people in the band that do want to get married and have kids
and there’s people in the band that fucking want to be homeless and ride
the trains for the rest of their lives.” Carey adds with a smile, “But we’ll make that
transition when the time is right.” He adds. However don’t expect that transition
any time soon, currently on tour with As I Lay Dying, after finishing up The
Take Action Tour with Every Time I Die, From First to Last and The Human
Abstract. If you want to see Evergreen, this summer make sure you grab your
Warped Tour ticket, because Evergreen is slotted to be on the roster this year,
locked in for the dates of June 20-Aug 17.
Warped Tour may not seem like the best venue to see Evergreen
Terrace, but over the past 10 years Evergreen has managed to tour with a
slew of unlikely bands like Throwdown, Hatebreed, Strung Out, I Am Ghost, Norma
Jean, Every Time I Die and even GWAR among others, proving that Evergreen is
capable of is blending in with any band, making transitions from fast, heavy
hardcore to melodic punk rock effortless. The transitions may be easy, but the fans
aren’t always as easy. So exactly how do you survive a Hatebreed show when all
the fans just want to see is Jamey Jasta spit up blood? “You’re fine as long as you
tell Hatebreed fans to fuck something up, or scream any quote from the movie
Gladiator.” James explains. [End]
