"TAT: n. rubbish, trash, 'an old load of tat' (orig.
unkn.)" (MySpace.com - TAT - London, UK, 2008).
Though they look and sound nothing like this definition,
TAT is on their way up.  They have yet to release an
album, but have already toured with the likes of The
Bouncing Souls, NOFX, The Offspring and Me First
and the Gimme Gimmes.  They have played on the
world famous Reading Festival stage.  And, I repeat,
they have yet to release an album!  I had the honor to
spend some time with this trio of British misfits during
this year's Warped Tour, where the band's talent was
on the lips of every other group I interviewed.
The band, fronted by Tatiana DeMaria, are from a little
place called "London Town", as Tatiana puts it.  Having
grown up in London, I began to chat with her about
home.  "I miss it so much.  We picked up and moved
to the U.S. a few months ago, but I miss it so much."
With as much success as TAT have had this early in
their career, you would assume their ego would be too
big to contain in one tour bus, but this is by far not the
case.  While we were talking, Tatiana gave up her seat
so that my pregnant wife could have a chair, then
proceeded to keep chatting with us while sitting on a
wooden table nearby.  Hopefully, this demeanor will
remain with her as TAT continues their rise.  They are
going to release their debut album this fall in the U.S.,
so be sure to remember the name.  TAT.
