In the past Warped Tour has gotten a bad rap from
artist who have done the tour before, because you have
to get up early, help build stages, it’s hot and there is
no way to escape that heat especially in Florida.
However in the past few years I have not met one band
that bad mouths the tour. Where else can you play 30
minute sets, get fed and get free beer? No where
unless you’re that creepy homeless guy who sits
outside the 7-11 in the suburbs. Warped Tour is a great
opportunity for any band to get heard no one knows
this better than the band Four Year Strong. Who you
might be asking yourself, exactly.
Four Year Strong is the fun energetic pop punk band
out of Worchester, Massachusetts that’s outside of
Boston for all you geographically challenged readers
out there. 4YS has shared the stage with the likes of
Hellogoodbye, The Starting Line, Every Time I Die, All
Time Low and Bayside just to name a few. Always full
of fun and energy 4YS makes sure they don’t take
themselves too seriously but they do take their music
seriously. “As far as the music goes it speaks for it’s
self, and it does. We take pride in our live show. We
love interacting with the kids and getting the kids
involved. If you come out to a show and don’t have a
good time something’s wrong with you. “ he adds.
You can’t blame a brother for being honest, something
that appears to be missing from the music scene as
whole.
