I read Justin’s article from Against Me!
And I gotta say that I checked them
out and agree with what the lead singer
said about their music. It isn’t punk.
Not even close. Why do people even
read the reviews anyways? They’re
always wrong and the people writing
them probably don’t even listen to the
album. Reviews suck. –M.

M.,
I agree for the most part that most
reviewers get the facts wrong. I think that
instead of just listening to the albums over
a span of time, they shove all the listening
sessions into one sitting and numb
themselves to what they’re listening to. It
becomes a shore and the faster its done the
better it is. I for one listen to the albums
over a week, sometimes I listen to the
album several times over that week or
more and then review it. Someone put a lot
of time into making this album and they
deserve the time and respect to review it
properly.
I want to see more interactive stuff.-N/A

We’re working on just that as we speak,
brainstorming to get you and the others
involved in the NS universe. We’re in talks
of having a night at the New Port Richey
club Bourbon Street hosted by Nyght Scene
with bands that we feature in these very
pages. We’re also going to start hosting
videos and maybe a chat room, not to
mention our Myspace is getting a much
needed make over. So we’re trying Killer.
Maybe you guys can suggest a few things
you might wanna see.

Hey Hallena!!!

I met you at Projekt at the Amp and
you gave me your card to talk to you
about maybe getting a job doing
pictures or something. Is the offer still
available? –Lisa

Hi Lisa!

We’re always looking for fresh p.o.v’s,
photo angles, and more. You can gill out
the application in the employment section
and submit it to us. We’ll review it
immediately and get back to you. Looking
forward to hearing from you doll! HmH

Old Fans vs. New Fans

So, you’ve been with the band
since the beginning. You’ve
bled with them, you mentally
suffered along with their
addictions, mourned the
member losses, and now you
think you’re holier than thou?
It’s amazing to have that sort
of devotion, to have that drive
to never stray. But when push
comes to shove, you’re still a
fan. Plain and simple.

In my opinion it doesn’t
matter when you began to
follow a band because you’re
all supporting one single
goal… to support the band.
Whether you’re the mid-
twenties rocker or the twelve
year old kid, you paid the
same for your ticket and you’
re watching the same show.
You’re not special. They more
than likely won’t single you
out. Everyone is equal in the
pit so take your elitism and
shove it because it ain’t cool
Princess.

Get over yourself, embrace
your fellow fan, and enjoy the
show! You were once that
nerdy kid in the band shirt
watching said band on the
shirt, screaming and jumping
to the lyrics. Truth be told,
you probably still are. Don’t
ruin the vibe. If you can’t
chill, go home. -HmH
