As Tall As Lions Self Titled This self titled album came out in 2006. It is a rare gem in a sea of indistinguishable sounds. Though it seems this is an acquired taste, once you have that tiny drop dropped on your tongue, its hard to not want more. The final listed track "Maybe I'm Just Tired" is a power ballad of sinking and rising proportions. The vocals and instrument parts sink into low levels then float up into grand bursts before deflating back down, all done with complete grace. A minute later an unlisted track comes up. And really, who doesn’t love hidden tracks? The vocals are smooth over the hot chords that rise through the bridge of the song. This song fits in beautifully with the rest of the album, making you wish it wasn’t a hidden track, but an actual track listing.

The Warriors Genuine Sense of Outrage Who doesn’t love an album cover that has the head of a wolf protruding out of a mans stomach ripping him apart? No, seriously, who doesn’t? If you don’t, you turn right back around now and get out. The Warriors are true to their name. The music is brutal and in your face and everything we know and love about hardcore metal. The guttural screams, heavy riffs, and wonderful beats. It is all pure brilliance on their part. The band remind me as a child of Throwdown. If you are a real, true fan of that band, give your ears a treat and listen to this album. To show you how hardcore this band really is, check out the guest vocal listing: Comeback Kid’s Andre Neufeld, Sick of it All’s Lou Koller, and last but note least, Motorhead’ s Lemmy Kilmister. The Warriors show they've accumulated quite a lot of credibility to get such high names on their fourth album. It as line up bands wish they could have.

Sophia Ramos Her Majesty For Ms. Ramos, long term success is not far away from her grasp. In fact, it is dangling right in front of her fingers waiting for her to grab it and place it in her back pocket for safe keeping. With full, big guitar riffs, and her amazing vocal ability, the songs have a fire. A passion. And more importantly, the power to rock. Each song tells a story, giving you a glimpse into her, or the characters life. Sophia’s voice soars to new levels on Kill Your Pain. This is another exceptional heavy track on Her Majesty. Girlfriend’s Ghost is a kick ass song that is full of fire, and pulse pumping rhythm. This song has a Garbage/ Gwen Stefani feel to it, but is much heavier than either of those. This is an outstanding rock album, hands down. There needs to be more girls in rock. This is a dude-fest. It’s always fun to crash the party.
